Henry Gomez Featured in Hispanic Heroes Art Installation

Musician, arranger, producer, and mentor Henry Gomez will be featured in the upcoming Hispanic Heroes art installation along the San Antonio River Walk.

For more than five decades, Gomez has helped shape San Antonio’s musical identity through his contributions to mariachi, Tejano, conjunto, and Texas music, as well as his collaborations with prominent artists. His longstanding commitment to mentoring and encouraging younger musicians has extended his influence well beyond the stage.

A portrait of Gomez, created by San Antonio artist Marco Vargas, will be displayed at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio from September 15–30 as part of the Hispanic Heroes installation.
